DWTS Projected Winner
ABC News

Welcome to HARLO Magazine’s first-ever Dancing with the Stars winner prediction. My name is Sana Bokhari, and my qualifications are that I have been watching the show, for the most part, since I was six years old, and I’m a Leo, so I am ruled by fire and creativity. I have many favorites this season, specifically Harry Shum Jr (love you forever, Mike Chang <3). I would be happy to see a plethora of contestants win, but this article isn’t about emotion; it’s about logic and intuition. If I were a betting woman, I would put all my chips on Paralympian gold medalist Ezra Frech bringing home the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy this season.

Frech is the personification of I think, therefore I am. I believe whatever the 21-year-old athlete puts his mind to, he can achieve. Some background for those who don’t know: Frech has a prosthetic in place of his entire left leg and has only two fingers on his left hand. He and his dance partner talk very openly about how he struggles when it comes to dance. Despite that, he blew weeks one and two out of the water with his tango and cha-cha, respectively. Now, in week 3, he did struggle a bit, but still had such elegance with his Foxtrot. He is born with a natural charisma that makes him so smooth when he dances. In the past, I’ve seen athletes struggle in this competition because they are used to being focused and precise. In sports, athletes only have to focus on what they’re about to do, whether it’s completing that jump over the hurdle in track or making that three-pointer in basketball. But dance is an art form requiring performance. You need to remember all your steps, execute them flawlessly, and do it all with a smile on your face. If you like, you are thinking it’s game over. It takes away from the whimsy required in performance. Frech is able to let go when he performs. He becomes the persona that dance style calls for. Week 1, he was the strong leading man. Week 2, he was the sultry and slinky man in black. He does not get trapped in his mind as I have seen athletes do in the past.

Frech’s refusal for complacency is an inspiration but he’s so much more than his accomplishments. His TikTok page is full of videos showing his appreciation for everyone’s love, and one of his pinned videos is him poking fun at how his leg can fall off during races. Not only does he address the elephant in the room, but he creates a neon sign that says “You can talk about it. This is my normal, let’s engage”. What is also going viral on TikTok is his budding bromance with contestant and Jimmy Kimmel’s sidekick, Guillermo Rodriguez. People love the friendship they’re building, finding it comical and wholesome. I’ve seen Frech respond to comments on those TikToks, loving the viewers’ reactions. I won’t lie, even I have swooned once or twice over his adorable smile and curly brown hair. He’s won all twenty (I vote online and text in, of course) of my votes three weeks in a row, and I do not hand those out easily. He’s the type of person you cannot help but root for because he is genuinely himself.

Frech has also been so blessed to be partnered with Emmy-nominated and Season 32 winner, Daniella Karagach, aka “The Ferrari”. Karagach was nominated for the contemporary routine she choreographed with basketball star and Season 32 winner, Imam Shumpert. She has since choreographed amazing routines like her freestyle with Imam, her contemporary with basketball star and Season 33 contestant Dwight Howard, and her Argentine tango with Season 35 contestant Dylan Efron. If you have not guessed, Karagach is my favorite pro. I saw her dance live at the DWTS 2025 tour, and let me tell you that girl is a star. I do not think I have ever seen so much aura in a single person. But like I said, this is about logic, not emotion. It’s a clear fact: Daniella is an amazing choreographer. We have already seen how she has made the technique accessible to Frech’s capabilities. She knows when to push him and when to accommodate.

So in summary, Frech has the drive, the personality, the unexpected ease, and the perfect partner to win that Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. Bobby Bones, DWTS season 27 winner and radio host, has correctly predicted the winner of the competition for the past 4 seasons straight. This year he said Olympic figure skater, Amber Glenn, is the perfect package but will struggle with the Latin dances. Ultimately, he went with Savannah Bananas’ baseball pro, Jackson Olson, as this year’s winner, not even mentioning Frech. I cannot argue with Bones’ past discernment, but even the mighty fall, and Bobby this year might be your Waterloo.
